Hay being stolen.
Not only horse tack and farm machinery are being targeted by thieves. Horsewatch have noted that bales of hay are being stolen now. The police have suggested marking your hay with different coloured baler twine or string. Rather too large a job for yards like ours with up to a hundred horses, but might be an idea if you just keep one or two horses.

Hi, took Missie to show on Saturday, she was very good once she settled down we entered 2 in hand classes, best kept horse or pony that lives out she was 3^rd and best mare she was 5^th . We went for the experience and I was really pleased with her. Had a bit of a struggle getting her back in the trailer but we got there eventually.
Best wishes

The Mare and Foal Sanctuary is undertaking a road rescue project. We wish to advise you of our intentions of how we can help your community. We are aware of the dangers stray or loose horses can have on themselves and the public should they escape or be deliberately set free. The Mare and Foal Sanctuary would like to raise awareness of this and hope to help co-ordinate safe road rescues with the emergency services and other charities.

A letter received from a carer;
From Frosty's Carer - a particularly poignant letter for us as Frosty was in a very poor condition when she arrived with us and took eighteen months before she was ready for rehoming - great to hear she's doing well, a real success story!
Hi Syra!
I just thought I'd drop you an e-mail to let you know how Frosty is doing.
On Sunday, we went for our first trip off the yard since I got her. We went to a fun ride at the Port Elliot estate - a big country park nearby. She was an absolute star - didn't put a foot wrong!
