Diamond
Piebald Dartmoor.
Diamond was part of a consignment rescued by a Channel Islands Charity and was on her way to Belgium for use in experimentation for Hormone Replacement Therapy along with 30 other dartmoor mares in foal.

Diamond was totally wild on arrival and couldn't be handled or even approached. However, with time and love she's grown into a confident and relaxed pony and was rehomed once we'd trained her for lead-rein and also riding. She loves her food and it's a struggle to keep her weight down. |

| Kavaner
16.1 hh Bay Shire Horse born in 2005

Kavaner was born in a local Adventure Park and due to his unusual medical condition, where he was born with both male and female genitalia, they asked us to take him in. He is a very sweet-natured giant and has taken several operations and a massive amount of medical treatment in his stride. He is now completely recovered and being trained to take part in local events and shows here at the Sanctuary
