All horses teeth should be checked at least once a year, they may not always need work doing but they should be checked by either a vet or equine dentist.
To find an equine dentist ask your vet to recommend one or ask larger yards nearby who they use.
We found ours through someone recommending him.
Once the dentist has seen your horse he will advise you how often your horses teeth need to be checked, horses with problems may need checking more regularly.
