Horse Care Team Member – Totnes
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly committed person with experience in caring for horses and ponies. Knowledge of equine behaviour and training is advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.
This post is based at our education and equestrian centre. Working closely with our team of experts, you will help provide the highest standard of care, monitoring the health and behaviour of around 30 horses with a variety of health and management needs. You will be actively involved in training horses (may include riding) and supporting our educational programmes.
37.5 hours per week with some evening and weekend work. This is a full-time, permanent position with an annual salary of £23,400 and access to private health and benefits.

- Have a full UK driving licence
Please note that this is role is subject to a Basic DBS check and you will be required to bring proof of your right to work in the UK to an interview if you are shortlisted.

The Mare and Foal Sanctuary is the largest equine charity in the South West peninsula, dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of horses and ponies in need. Based in Devon, we have 5 specialist sites, including a specialist veterinary and welfare assessment centre. We also have an active programme of educational events for horse owners and a multidisciplinary equine assisted learning team.
