Part-time Horse Care Team Member (6 month contract)

Rate of Pay:- £12.00 per hour

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly committed person with experience in caring for horses and ponies. This is a part-time role of 30 hours per week for a period of six months.

This post is based at our Upcott Park Sanctuary in Holsworthy, North Devon.

Have a full UK driving licence

Working closely with our team of experts, you will help provide the highest standard of care, monitoring the health and behaviour of our horses and ponies with a variety of health and management needs. You may also be actively involved in training the horses and ponies. Knowledge of equine behaviour and training is advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.

The Mare and Foal Sanctuary is the largest equine charity in the South West peninsula, dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of horses and ponies in need. Based in Devon, we have 5 specialist sites, including a specialist veterinary and welfare assessment centre. We also have an active programme of educational events for horse owners and a multidisciplinary equine assisted learning team.

Please note that this role is subject to a Basic DBS check and you will be required to bring proof of your right to work in the UK to an interview if you are shortlisted.
