Family Fun Day draws records crowds

Thanks to everyone who turned out for our spectacular Mare and Foal Sanctuary Family Fun Day on Sunday.

The event broke all previous records with more than 750 people attending to see great displays including duck herding, dog agility and side saddle.

And a huge thank you to our wonderful Patron John Nettles for making everyone feel so welcome.

Ben Wild from Torquay, who came with his daughters Ava and Ella, said: “It’s been brilliant and the kids have really enjoyed it. It’s been a really good day.”

Stuart Airs from Ogwell, who came with children Keira and Haydn said: “My daughter is pony mad so this has been a great day. She’s loved being able to visit the stables.”

The event had something for everyone, from Bollywood dancing to the heart stopping falconry display – on horseback.

Tanya Connors, who came with her two children Rhori and Denny said: “The children are absolutely loving it. There’s so much to see and do. It’s been great.”

It really was a day to remember…
