We are appealing for talented crafters and community groups to join us at our new Reuse and Recycle Store in Newton Abbot.
The new store in Brunel Road will revolutionise the way we deal with the tons of pre-loved goods donated to us every year from all over Devon.
The site includes a giant, adjacent warehouse where we can now take in larger items like furniture, including tables, sofas, wardrobes and bookshelves.
But one of the best things about the new Reuse and Recycle Store is the large foyer which we are hoping to turn into a community space and crafting centre.
It can be hired by groups or individuals for anything from quilt making, upcycling demonstrations and antique roadshows with local experts to card making, local history talks, book clubs or local sewing circles.
Retail Area Manager Adam Livsey said: “We are so proud of our new Reuse and Recycle Centre and we want local people to make use of our wonderful new space.
“It’s next door to our giant warehouse, full of pre-loved goods and antiques and ideal for local crafters looking for materials.
“It will be available for individuals or groups to use and we really hope people get in touch and take the lead in running these events. The store has a great atmosphere and we really want to share it with our local community.”
