Supporters of our programmes

Our alternative education and training through equine assisted learning, theraputic riding and outdoor learning is made possible thanks to the generosity of our supporters and donors.  We are especially grateful to the following grant-giving organisations that support our programmes:

European-Social-Fund-Logo

Participants of the Your Sanctuary Programme are supported by the Community Grants project part funded by the ESF and ESFA.  The ‘Your Sanctuary’ Programme is our unique equine assisted learning programme which equips young people with transferable life and employability skills. The programme is aimed at young people classed as NEETs (Not in Education, Employment or Training schemes). We have developed a progressive pathway which encompasses employability skills and pathways to accredited training.

The Hedley Foundation gave us £1,000 to purchase equipment for our outdoor education learning programme, which aims to improve young people’s health, happiness and wellbeing by being oustide with horses and ponies in nature.

SIR PETER O’SULLEVAN CHARITABLE TRUST

We would like to thank The Sir Peter O’Sullevan Charitable Trust for generously funding participants on our Inspire Program of equine assisted learning. Our sessions support and sustain recovery and build resilience.
Sir Peter O’Sullevan tirelessly worked to better the lot of the retired, injured, or ill-treated animal.

THE NORTHBROOK COMMUNITY TRUST DEVON

We are delighted to announce that the Sanctuary has received an award of £5,000 toward our Equine Assisted Learning programme from the Northbrook Community Trust.  The Trust provides grants to specialist charities who are changing the lives of some of the most disadvantaged young people in Devon, and have a particular interest in young people who are, or were, in the care of Devon County Council.  .
