Confident Horse Webinar: Helping the needle shy horse

Loading Events

The sanctuary will be launching another of its successful Confident Horse webinars on 8th December. This time the expert team will be looking at how to help a horse or pony with needle shyness.

Needle shyness is when a horse or pony shows unwanted behaviour such as pulling and pushing or even biting and kicking when receiving an injection. When a horse or pony is needle shy, even routine vet care can become a very stressful experience. Needle shyness can cause significant problems and can sometimes make caring for a horse almost impossible. In fact, it is one of the most common reasons owners contact behaviourists.

Join us via Zoom on Wednesday 8th December at 7.30pm to find out more about helping horses with needle shyness. Using a real-life example, the team will show you tried and tested methods that will take the fear out of vet visits. This webinar is packed with useful and practical tips to help you work with your horse towards a permanent solution.

This webinar is for everyone. Whether you own or care for horses and ponies, or if you share our passion for equine welfare, we hope you’ll be able to join us.

Your donation of £10 will help us continue to provide lifelong, life changing loving care to even more horses and ponies in need. Thank you.
