Biscuit came to the Sanctuary in Summer 2018 after his owner could no longer keep him.
He has only been castrated during the last year so any potential carer needs to be able to take this into account when choosing fieldmates for him. We have kept him with other geldings and although we have mares around, he has not shown too much interest in them recently.
Biscuit had not had very much handling before he came to us and although he's doing really well, he can still be a little unsure of being caught in large open spaces so he would suit someone who has experience with nervous horses and maybe has a smaller corral/yard area in which to catch him if he is having an 'off' day!
He is a friendly chap though, and has a nice temperament and we feel that he is now ready to look for a new home, and that he will thrive in more of a one-to-one situation with someone special!
Biscuit is happy to live out or be stabled for part of the time, although a routine where he is caught every day would suit him best.
