BUTTERMILK is ready to find a new home as a NON RIDDEN COMPANION
Buttermilk is good to handle. She needs time to get to know new horses but following moves within the Sanctuary she has settled well into her new herd. Buttermilk is good with vet and farrier and is a real favourite here!
We have found that Buttermilk is happier when living out as much as possible, although she would need her grazing to be managed especially at certain times of the year to avoid obesity and Laminitis.
We have been working to gain her trust with worming and having sun cream on so her new family must be prepared to continue her positive training.
Buttermilk does have mild sweet itch, so will need to wear a fly rug at certain times of the year. She is happy to be left behind with a hay net whilst her companions go off to be ridden, making her an ideal companion pony.
Buttermilk is on long term medication for arthritis and this means she is being rehomed on our prime pastures scheme, where we can contribute towards the cost of this.
