Teams from The Mare and Foal Sanctuary are eagerly preparing to champion our patron, Angela Rippon CBE, as she graces the dance floor in the highly anticipated 21st season of Strictly Come Dancing.

The Mare and Foal Sanctuary was involved in a multi-agency equine welfare case in Devon during April 2022, involving over 20 equines found emaciated and suffering.    

We are deeply saddened to share the news that Maureen Rolls, former trustee and founder of South West Equine Protection has passed away.  

The Mare and Foal Sanctuary are proud members of The Federation of Horses in Education and Therapy International AISBL (HETI). This year, we travelled to Horseworld Trust in Bristol to share our insights on this year’s theme: How can we ensure our Equine Assisted Services provide a positive experience for our equine partners?

Look no further than our upcoming open days. These special events are packed with inspiring demonstrations, fun family activities and refreshments. 

Art isn’t just for galleries. This summer, Devon’s art scene will get a unique addition when artist Kathy Nettles brings her extraordinary collection of 30 horse and pony paintings to The Mare and Foal Sanctuary’s Coombe Park Education and Equestrian Centre near Totnes in Devon. The exhibition will be the final event in the charity’s 30th anniversary celebrations.
