Preparation work begins for Coombe Park’s renovation

Trucks and heavy machinery are being moved on site as the countdown begins for our extensive renovation work at Coombe Park.

Thank you all so much for your patience following our decision to close Coombe, near Littlehempston, last year while we carried out comprehensive site surveys and conducted a tendering process for the work, which includes a new roof and surface for our indoor arena.

Surveys revealed subsidence on the bank up to the site, needing specialist contractors to shore it up and the removal of the American Barn.

Plymouth construction firm Ryearch Ltd are beginning the preparation work before starting in earnest next month.

We will be giving you regular updates on the work’s progress, as well as photos of the site’s ongoing transformation.

In the meantime, Coombe Park remains closed – except for programmed, pre-arranged visits.

Thank you for understanding. If you were planning to visit, we can only apologise for any inconvenience caused. If you have any questions or would like to enquire about one of our events or make an appointment, please call us on 01803 866615.
