Your gift could help us continue to provide expert health care to horses and ponies in need. Each equine in our care receives regular visits from the Farrier to check the condition of their hooves.
We spend an average of £13.70 per horse each month on visits from the Farrier and this can increase if the horse has a condition such as Laminitis which requires more specialist care and attention.
Whether you give the gift of comfort, warmth or protection purchasing one of our virtual products will help us to continue our work in caring for and rehabilitating horses and ponies who have been abandoned, abused and mistreated.
As an animal welfare charity, our costs are high as we care for over 200 horses and ponies across our six sanctuaries. Many of our horses and ponies are found underweight or overweight, with significant injuries, or traumatised and vulnerable. Grooms work hard every day to rehabilitate each horse and provide them with the care they need. This might include additional visits and check-ups from our vet, extra supplements and nutritional feed, and costly surgeries. Rehabilitation journeys may take much longer for a rescue pony, but we will always be there to provide them with a sanctuary for life.
