Jago
Age: 9 years old (Born 2015)
Gender: Gelding
Colour: Bay
Height: 13.1HH
Jago is being rehoming as a companion equine.
Jago is generally good to handle but would benefit from someone with experience as he does need reassurance in some situations.
His ideal home would be a quiet one with someone with an interest in positive training methods as he has been progressing well for vet visits. He would like a calm handler who can recognize when he is becoming anxious. In the paddock he is friendly in a herd he has lived with gelding with us.
He needs a home where he can live out as much as possible as he has equine asthma. He will need his weight monitoring to prevent obesity and laminitis. He has been good with electric fencing. Jago does not cope when totally left alone so he will need a home where he will have a constant companion with minimal equines moving around on the yard near him, as he gets unsettled by this. His ideal home with be with other equines that won’t need to leave him to be worked, so another companion or retired equines.
Jago needs regular dental check ups from a vet so he is being rehomed on our Prime Pastures scheme where we can contribute towards the cost of this.
