MASON is being rehomed as a YOUNG HORSE Mason is a friendly, confident, loveable youngster who is always happy to see you!

Mason is a friendly, confident, loveable youngster who is always happy to see you! He loves to be groomed and is good with the vet and the farrier. He would be best suited to a home with someone who has experience of youngsters and is a confident handler to continue his training. It would be beneficial for him to be turned out with more than one other horse, as he can become very attached to others and if separated can become anxious. He needs a home where he wouldn’t need to be left on his own and where he will live with geldings.

Mason has seen minimal traffic around the yard and has coped with this well. However, as he has not been out on the roads yet or seen any traffic on his own, he would need further training here.

Mason is looking for a home where he can continue his in hand training, getting some experience and one-to-one care until he is fully mature enough to hopefully be backed for ridden work.

His ridden weight limit will 11 stone, based on his height and weight.

Become a Sanctuary at Home Carer

To help you become a Sanctuary at Home Carer, we have a dedicated team managing our scheme and their job is to help find the right equine for you and then support you throughout your rehoming experience.

Our Pathways

We have three rehoming pathways within our Sanctuary at Home scheme. These are:

Prime Pastures

This scheme enables us to rehome horses and ponies with long-term medical conditions that are manageable. You'll be required to help support their condition with regular monitoring and we contribute towards the costs of their veterinary treatments.

Foster

Working alongside us to socialise and train young or rideable horses for future work in our education programmes. You'll help provide a home setting for these horses to mature before returning to the Sanctuary for further assessment. We work closely with you to keep up to date records of their training, achievements, milestones, setbacks and all aspects of their care.

Standard

Means you help provide a sanctuary at home for as many years as you can for a horse or pony from our charity on a loan basis.
