Saffy is being rehomed as a COMPANION pony **Very special home required** Saffy is lovely pony and enjoys company on her own terms.

Saffy is lovely pony and enjoys company on her own terms. She will need a handler who understands that she doesn’t always want a fuss and confident to handle her on days when she’d like more space.

Saffy enjoys staying out as much as possible, however, she will need her weight watching. Saffy has been living with mares with us and is respectful of electric fencing. She doesn’t like to be left alone, so needs a home where this wouldn’t need to happen and she would have a constant equine companion.

Saffy has a soft palate issue, this means that sometimes, some of her food comes down her nose. She requires soaked hay and feed, but no hard treats as she could choke if given dry hay or solid treats.
We feel this shouldn’t prevent Saffy from finding a forever home with the right people.

Saffy has Cushing’s and is on daily medication for this and mobility issues. She is being rehomed on our Prime Pastures scheme, where we can contribute towards the cost of her veterinary care

Become a Sanctuary at Home Carer

To help you become a Sanctuary at Home Carer, we have a dedicated team managing our scheme and their job is to help find the right equine for you and then support you throughout your rehoming experience.

Our Pathways

We have three rehoming pathways within our Sanctuary at Home scheme. These are:

Prime Pastures

This scheme enables us to rehome horses and ponies with long-term medical conditions that are manageable. You'll be required to help support their condition with regular monitoring and we contribute towards the costs of their veterinary treatments.

Foster

Working alongside us to socialise and train young or rideable horses for future work in our education programmes. You'll help provide a home setting for these horses to mature before returning to the Sanctuary for further assessment. We work closely with you to keep up to date records of their training, achievements, milestones, setbacks and all aspects of their care.

Standard

Means you help provide a sanctuary at home for as many years as you can for a horse or pony from our charity on a loan basis.
