Sarah Jane Williamson Steps Down as Chief Executive

Sarah Jane Williamson has decided to step down as Chief Executive of The Mare and Foal Sanctuary as of Tuesday 12th March.

Sarah Jane has led the charity through the challenges of the Coronavirus pandemic, developed it into an independent organisation from its beginnings as a family enterprise and grown the sanctuary care and equine assisted services, expanding the overall breadth and reach of the charity.

Throughout this time Sarah Jane has been a passionate advocate, dedicated to the welfare of all our horses and ponies and supporting our incredible team of staff and volunteers. She leaves the charity in a strong position and on a firm foundation to deliver our future ambitions and strategy for growth.

The Board of Trustees would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to Sarah Jane for her valuable contribution and wish her well in her future endeavours.

David Spilsbury, Deputy Chief Executive, will be stepping up as acting Chief Executive with immediate effect.
