Age: 7 years old (Born 2016)
Fred is being rehomed as a project equine.
Fred is a sweet and inquisitive pony who always wants to know what you are up to. His favourite thing is to come over for a scratch on his chest with his handler and he will do his best to help with the poo-picking!
Fred is looking for a new home, either with someone who has the experience and time and wants to bring on a young horse, or with someone as a companion. Fred is generally good to handle and good with the farrier and vet with some reassurance from his handler. Fred loves attention and will happily stand all day to be groomed and fussed, however, he would not be suitable to have around small, inexperienced children.
He has seen light traffic, bikes and dogs and is getting more confident with every new adventure. Fred has been long reining on our local lanes and is doing well, as well as walking out in hand both alone and in company. Fred will continue with his education whilst he is in the Sanctuary.
Fred is used to living out but is equally happy to be stabled for part of the time. He has lived with a mixed herd, and he loves to play in the field with his field mates.
There is some special care that Fred will need which can be discussed further on application.
Based on Fred’s size, his rider weight limit is 7 stone. Fred rehoming fee is £75
