About The Mare and Foal Sanctuary

The Mare and Foal Sanctuary is the largest equine welfare charity in the South West peninsula dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of horses and ponies who have suffered neglect, abuse and trauma. We also deliver a range of Equine Assisted Services with our rescued horses and ponies. The Mare and Foal Sanctuary has five sites across Devon, a clear five-year strategy and is ambitious for the future.

About the Role

This role is based at our Reuse and Recycle Store at Brunel in Newton Abbot and has core hours of 20 per week (5 hours per day Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday)

Please note that this role is subject to a DBS check, and you will be required to provide proof of your right to work in the UK.

Salary Band: H.1 £12,480

What You’ll be Doing:

As an E-commerce Assistant, your primary responsibility will involve researching and listing a variety of pre-loved items generously donated to us for online sale. You’ll play a pivotal role in maximising our online sales and profitability, ensuring that each item contributes to our organisation’s mission. Working across multiple departments such as clothing, jewellery, electronics, toys, and games, you’ll gain exposure to a diverse range of products. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the expansion of our online sales platforms, helping us to reach new audiences and increase our impact.

What you’ll bring:

To succeed in this role, you’ll need to bring a strong interest in e-commerce and a knack for learning about the unique products in our inventory. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn are key attributes we’re seeking. Computer literacy is essential, along with familiarity with e-commerce platforms and their support functions. Your ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment will be crucial as you contribute to our success.
