Horse Care Team Member Maternity Cover – Newton Abbot

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly committed person with experience in caring for horses and ponies to cover Maternity Leave. Knowledge of equine behaviour and training is advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.

37.5 hours per week which includes some evening and weekend work

Salary £23,400 per annum pro rata

This post is based at our Honeysuckle Farm Sanctuary in Newton Abbot and is for a minimum of 6 months, with the possibility to be extended. Working closely with our team, you will help provide the highest standard of care for our horses and ponies with a variety of health and management needs.

The Mare and Foal Sanctuary is the largest equine charity in the South West peninsula, dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of horses and ponies in need. Based in Devon, we have 5 specialist sites, including a specialist veterinary and welfare assessment centre. We also have an active programme of educational events for horse owners and a multidisciplinary equine assisted learning team.
